A sweet start to the season
The start to this flower growing season has been a sweet one. Little Sparrow continues to support the Reality Farm Project, which has expanded its' capacity to support more participants and hire another farmhand, Elias Santos Dubon through a successful Kickstarter campaign. We are grateful to all of our supporters for their extraordinary generosity. The support was overwhelming!
We hosted our first farm day last week at Little Sparrow and the morning was full of rich and meaningful moments. The weather was also spectacular. Cool, breezy, and perfectly clear. We transplanted tomatoes and peppers, planted seeds, learned the art of watering, and enjoyed the company of each other.
We will host a group of Reality participants every Monday and Thursday through October, to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables for the Reality Cafe, daytime lunches, and special events. Our hope is that the farm project will foster a sense of community and meaningful work for these beautiful people! We will keep you posted on how the season goes. I am sure there will be many stories to share.

In addition to the community project, Little Sparrow has hired a Reality participant, Javi Guzman to help with the general care of the CSA flower production. Javi comes with experience and an enthusiasm for plant life that is unmatched. I am personally excited to learn from him!
Speaking of the CSA, Little Sparrow's season starts back up the first week of June. Please see the details below and let me know if you have any questions. A flower subscription is a wonderful gift to oneself, or a friend. Please pass this information on to friends who might be interested.
8 week Late Spring/Summer Subscription for $100, goes from the last week of May/1st week of June – last week of July.
